We were so pleased to learn that the French Foliage set was carried into the main Idea Book & Catalog after making it's debut in last year's Holiday mini catalog! These cards feature the beautiful fall images along with sentiments from the Perfectly Penned and Curvy Verses sets on page 154 of the main catalog. Although it's hard to see in the photo, the Perfect Plum panel has score lines as accents around the edges, done using the NEW Simply Scored tool!

Poinsettia Card
This card was inspired by a couple of ideas from fellow demonstrators Lynn Pratt and Dawn Olchefske (we love their creative and clean designs). The poinsettia was stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink on a die-cut Cherry Cobbler circle using the leaf stamp from the French Foliage set. The circle (which was cut with the Big Shot using the Bigz clear circle die) is layered on a piece of Very Vanilla embossed with the Petals-a-Plenty folder, and then layered on an Always Artichoke card. The sentiment is from the Curly Cute set. The poinsettia is accented with the basic pearls and the card is finished off with a piece of 1/8" Early Espresso taffeta ribbon.

Fall Luminaries
Fall is a great time for decorating - the beautiful and rich colors that are seen in nature add warmth to any home, especially when you live in Las Vegas and don't get much of that outside. These luminaries were made using vellum cardstock stamped with leaf images from the French Foliage set. The borders are scalloped with the edge punch and incorporate each of the coordinating three colors - Always Artichoke, More Mustard, and Cajun Craze. Battery operated tealights will illuminate them perfectly!

French Foliage Scrapbook Layout
These pages will be part of our November scrapbook page class (yet to be announced). The pages feature the French Foliage stamp set from the Holiday mini catalog. The pages are accented with patterned paper from the Love Letter DSP collection. The "Family" stamped image is from the Fundamental Phrases set and the quote is from the Leaf Lines set. The Very Vanilla small rectangle metal holder is from the Hodgepodge Hardware set. Photo corners were punched out with the XL Photo Corners punch, and the quote is layered on a 1 3/4" circle and Decorative Label.

Holiday Mini Catalog Starts Today - Scot's Favorite Set
The 2010 Stampin Up Holiday Mini Catalog starts today! Scot's favorite set from the mini catalog is French Foliage - just about ANY stamp set with leaves makes it to Scot's favorites list! This is a simple card that was done for a shoebox swap for the August Las Vegas and Late Night Stampers group. The colors used were Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Wild Wasabi, and Early Espresso - once again the Color Coach came in very handy! The dotted scallop ribbon border punch was used for the element across the middle, along with the Grateful Greetings stamp set (so happy this came back after being featured in last years Holiday mini catalog), and the oval and scalloped oval punches. As the card says, we both share thankful thoughts of you, as we appreciate your interest in sharing this enjoyable hobby of stamping.
