Thanksgiving Card using Inlay Technique with Stitched Leaves Dies

I ran across a beautiful card made by Austrailian Stampin' Up! demonstrator Cathy Proctor. I knew I had to try the inlay technique, and I was so pleased with the result! Although many dies would work, the Stitched Leaves dies were perfect for a Thanksgiving card. The sentiments are from the Banner Year stamp set, and the leaf stamps are from the Love of Leaves stamp set. The front layer of Very Vanilla cardstock was die cut with the leaves, and then the same leaves were cut using the brushed metallic cardstock, and placed inside the spaces. I just used tape on the back to adhere them. The Stitched So Sweetly dies were used for the front sentiment.

Global Design Project #267 - Hot Drink Challenge

This is the first time I've entered a card challenge. I couldn't wait to use the Press On stamp set for this project, and this gift card holder was a perfect design for it!

Here are the supplies you'll need:

Cardstock base: 11” x 4 ¼” – scored @ 2” & 7 ½”
Inside Cardstock for gift card pocket: 3 ¾” x 7” – scored @ 2” & 6 ½”
DSP or embossed cardstock layer for outside: 1 ¾” x 4”
DSP or embossed cardstock layer for outside: 3 ¼” x 4”
Scraps for stamping & die cutting (image and sentiment)
Coordinating Ribbon (for wrapping around bottom section)
Stamps & ink pads
Embellishments
Adhesive & Dimensionals

Snowflake Splendor Waterfall Album

Look at this BEAUTIFUL waterfall album designed by our friend and fellow SU demonstrator, Amy Combs! It's a perfect way to keep special memories together! It also makes a great gift! You will have extra supplies left over! Additional supplies (ribbon, die cuts, chipboard) will be provided prior to 12/12 ($8 for shipping, if necessary). You will need your own sentiment and ink pad to complete the cover. The Wishes & Wonder stamp set (#153421) and Pacific Point ink pad (#147098) can be ordered for an additional cost. You will also need a variety of adhesives (Stampin’ Dimensionals , Tear & Tape, Stampin’ Seal, or the like), and basic paper crafting tools (paper trimmer/scoring tool, scissors, bone folder, hole punch).
