Top Note Gift Card Pocket

This was one of our July Big Shot Club projects, made using the very versatile Top Note Bigz die.  The stamped images are from the Apothecary Accents and Everything Eleanor stamp sets.  The patterned paper is from the 2011-2013 In Color Collection DSP Stack.  The "For You" image was die-cut using the Labels Collection Framelits.  The image on the Soft Suede scallop is from the Everything Eleanor stamp set and punched with the 2 3/8" scallop punch.

Uncharted Territory

The Uncharted Territory set lends itself to creating masculine cards.  The stripes embossing folder was used for the card front.  The coordinating outside and inside sentiments are from the Petite Pairs set.  The card was finished off with some Early Espresso baker's twine.

Kidoodles Birthday Wishes

We loved this Kidoodles stamp set from the new catalog!  We plan on doing a whole card class with the set, so keep an eye out for that in the near future!  This was one of the cards that we made with our group of friends while we were attending Convention last month.  It features two of the new In Colors, Wisteria Wonder and Pool Party, as well as the new In Color 3/8" ruffled ribbon!

Top Note Puppy Basket

This is copied from a design by Fran Sabad - we thought it was a very cute and unique use of the Top Note die, so we did this project for Big Shot Club this month.  We made ours into a basket by using the Fancy Favor Box for the inside and adding a handle.  All of the pieces making up the puppy's face are from punches!

Just Believe Card Case

This was a group effort project that we did when our great friends Kevin & Patty came to visit a couple of weeks ago from Nebraska!  It was a replica of one that we've done in the past.  This case holds 8 cards and envelopes.  It features the Elegant Soiree Designer Series Paper along with the Just Believe stamp set.  The clear plastic card holder was cut in half with one half attached on either side of the case, they can be purchased at http://www.clearbags.com/

Live, Laugh, Love

Here's another one of the cards that we did at our February Sale-a-Bration workshop last Sunday.  The "Live, Laugh, Love" sentiment is from one of the many stamp sets that can be selected for FREE for every $50 purchase during Sale-a-Bration, which only lasts through March 31st.  The images are from the Sweet Summer set, which is exclusive to SAB!  The images were colored in using blender pens.  The Elegant Soiree DSP serves as a perfect background and provides a beautiful color scheme.  The bow was made using Baja Breeze seam binding ribbon from the Occasions mini catalog, and cinched with a Very Vanilla 5/16" jumbo brad.

Inspiration from an ULTA Advertisement

An ULTA flyer came in the mail earlier in the week and we loved the color combination of the make-up bag that was shown on the cover, so this was the card that the inspiration gave birth to...

The flowers and sentiment are from the hostess level 2 Apple Blossoms set.

Happy Valentine's Day!

We wish you all a Happy Valentine's Day!  This card features the Heart Pressed Letterpress Plate for the Sizzix Big Shot from the Occasions mini catalog.  It was done using Whisper White craft ink and then embossed with white powder.  The sentiment is from the Something to Celebrate level 2 hostess set, also from the Occasions mini catalog.  Have an enjoyable day with your "Sweet Valentine"!

Another Card for Tanner

Here's another card in honor of Tanner's birthday yesterday (Kira did this one).  This one also uses the Celebrations DSP along with a stamp from the On Your Birthday set.  The sentiment was punched out with the curly label punch, then layered on a 2 3/8" scallop and 2 1/2" circle.

Happy Birthday Pocket Portfolio

Happy Birthday to Kira's husband, Mark, today!  This is the pocket portfolio that she made for him using the Celebrations DSP and lots of other fun stuff!  This is the same design as one that was posted a couple of weeks ago using the Autumn Spice DSP.  The outside is decorated with the DSP cut using the Top Note die for the Sizzix Big Shot.  The scallop envelope die was used for the inside pockets and the Tasteful Trim die was also used for the scalloped accents above and below the envelopes.  A variety of stamp sets and puches were used for the greetings and star accents.  We wish Mark a very Happy Birthday, and MANY MORE!

We apologize for our absence lately, but hopefully we'll soon be posting some fresh projects as soon as the "holiday rush" has passed.  We wish all of you and your families Happy Holidays and all the best in the New Year!  And of course, happy stamping in the New Year too!

Treat Portfolio

Although Thanksgiving is past, I (Scot) had to share this wonderful treat portfolio that Kira made and brought to McCall and I as a Thanksgiving host gift.  It can easily be adapted for other holidays to include the same delicious Ghiradelli chocolate squares and Starbucks VIA coffee, or whatever treats you decide on!  The Day of Gratitude stamp set and Autumn Spice DSP were used as the primary elements, along with a variety of other stamps and accessories.

Top Note Christmas Treat Holder

This idea came from our friend Kris, who had done something similar for Halloween at another Stampin' Up demonstrator's event (sorry, we don't know her name).  What a great way to package up a roll of ribbon and a container of buttons (as seen in the sample on the left above) to give to your stamping friends!  The Top Note dies were embossed with a Christmas folder.  The stamp is from the Sweet Season set and punched out with the 2 3/8" scallop circle punch and layered on a 2 1/2" circle.  A large cello bag holds the "goods" and is tied up with a piece of 1/8" taffeta ribbon.

Holiday Flurries

This card features the Northern Hearts (level 1 hostess set from the Holiday mini catalog) and Northern Flurry embossing folder, along with the top note die.  The card is a tri-fold, with the top note portion folding over the front.  The sentiment is from the Sincere Salutations set and punched out with the jumbo oval.  Basic rhinestone jewels are used as the perfect accent, giving the appearance of ice.

Friends Forever

This card was created with the Just Believe stamp set.  The color scheme is clean and simple - Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, and Very Vanilla.  The Top Note die and Square Lattice embossing folders add shape and texture.  We would have to guess that any friend would be happy to receive this card to let them know they are special.

6"x6" Christmas Scrapbook Pages

These awesome 6"x6" Christmas scrapbook pages use the Celebrations DSP and lots of other fun stuff like the Tags 'til Christmas, Word Play, and Grateful Greetings stamp sets.  A variety of punches were used for the images.  We MAY be scheduling a class to do these, so let us know if you like them, and we'll see if we can fit them in to our schedule.

Happy Halloween!

Two things that are hard to see in the photo (it was a last minute idea late last night) - the card base is Early Espresso and the Daffodil Delight panel is embossed with the paisley Sizzix texture plate.  We couldn't let the holiday pass by for another year without a final Halloween wish for 2010.  The pumpkin image is from the Paisley Prints stamp set in the Holiday mini catalog (another one of the included sets in our Convention registration fee).  The happy halloween sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set.  The white piece was cut using the Top Note die for the Big Shot - cut once and then turned 90 degrees and run through again.  The card is completed with a touch of Early Espresso 1/8" taffeta ribbon.  We wish you a fun, safe, and Happy Halloween and hope your day is filled with wonderful treats!

Spooky Top Note Banner

It's so hard to believe that Halloween is almost here, where did the month go already?!  Here is a home decor banner we made last year, and how great that it can be used year after year!  As you can see, it uses the Top Note dies, which are threaded together using the 1 1/4" striped grosgrain ribbon.  The spider was made using the round tab punch (legs) and the 1" circle punch.  Sorry, the die cut letters and scalloped ovals are not Stampin' Up!, but something similar can always be substituted.  We wish you and your family a safe and Happy Halloween!

This is the other two-page layout that we'll be doing in our "Simply Wicked" scrapbook class later this month (details will be posted and e-mailed soon).  This layout also uses the Wicked Fun DSP, along with the Wicked Cool stamp set.  We've used the Top Note die for the photo mounts along with the 2 1/2" circle and bat punches.

Halloween Top Note Mini Album

This Halloween mini album was created for a workshop we have scheduled next week.  The Wonderfully Worn background stamp was used on the base of each page.  Accents of the Wicked Fun Designer Series Paper is used throughout, as well as images from the Batty For You stamp set.  The covers were embossed using the spider web folder for the Big Shot.  A variety of punches were used, including the new Decorative Label from the Holiday mini.  The sentiment on the cover is from the Grateful Greetings set.  Keep an eye out, as these mini album kits may show up for sale right here on our blog in the near future!
